I am a writer, creative director, and radio enthusiast in Jackson, Wyoming, where I live with my nurse husband and spirited four-year-old daughter.

I’m especially proud of my two Modern Love stories (first, second) in The New York Times and my short documentary on PBS POV.

I share a personal essay weekly on Substack at The Messayist.

I have recently finished a memoir titled The Patron Saint of F*ck Ups, a story of growing up religious in Texas before coming of age (later in life) in a mountain town and I’m seeking representation.
