YOU CAN BE HERE was an art installation that debuted at Frontier Space in Missoula, Montana in May 2015. Patrons were invited to take coins from available dishes to put in the three parking meters. When coins dropped in the parking meters and the levers were turned, jewelry box music would play—inviting people in. The wall was covered with parking tickets that—instead of saying what you did wrong and how to pay for it—had eight different messages assuring people they can be here. YOU CAN BE HERE.
